RAMPAGING RADIOACTIVE WILD BOARS CAUSING HAVOC NEAR FUKUSHIMA AND ‘BREEDING LIKE RABBITS’

RUTH HALKON for the UK Mirror reports, Radioactive wild boars which are ‘breeding like rabbits’ are overwhelming the Fukushima Nuclear disaster zone. It’s been over five years since tsunami waves crashed into the Fukushima Daiichi power plant, while 20 kilometers (12 miles) of the land around the plant remains a dangerous exclusion zone, the area’s wildlife is taking full advantage of the peace.

The boar population Since the nuclear disaster has rocketed,, which has increased by 330 per cent in the four years since the disaster, has been devastating the crops of farms in the area. Around 13,000 of the boars are in the exclusion zone, which stretches in a 12-mile radius from the plant.
