Virat Kohli masterclass guides India to World Twenty20 semis; beat Australia by six wickets

Virat Kohli scored a brilliant unbeaten 82 off 51 balls to guide India to the last four to beat a strong Australian side in Mohali  to enter the semi-finals of World T20.


After a bad start, Virat Kohli’s brilliance made the chase an easy one for India. India will play West Indies in the second semi-final of the 2016 ICC World Twenty20.

MS Dhoni ended the match with a four. India win by 6 wickets, and into the last four.

Australia captain Steve Smith won the toss and has elected to bat first, after winning the toss took a flying start against fierce rivals India, crossing 50-run mark in just four overs.in the World T20 championship match in Mohali.

But Indian bowlers, made quite a come back and managed to restrict the Aussies at 160. For India, all-rounder Hardik Pandya (2/36) copped some initial punishment before bagging a couple of crucial wickets while Yuvraj Singh (1/19), Ashish Nehra (1/20), Ravichandran Ashwin (1/31) and Jasprit (1/32) also bagged a wicket each as Men-in-blue chased down 161 with five balls remaining.
