Last year, Directed by Kaushik Ganguly’s ‘Cinemawala’ had bagged the Unesco Felini award and have been screened at various prestigious film festivals across the globe. This film is the now the only Bengali entry at the 1st BRICS Film Festival, to be held at the Siri Fort auditorium in Delhi between September 2 and 6.
The film starring Paran Bandyopadhyay, Parambrata, and Sohini Sarkar has been chosen as an official entry for the 1st BRICS film festival. Three other Indian movies, Bahubali, Bajirao Mastani, and Tithi too have got entry to this festival.
Cinemawala is a 2016 Bengali language film directed by Kaushik Ganguly, and starring Paran Bandyopadhyay and Parambrata Chatterjee. The theme of the film is tribute to the single screen cinema halls that are rapidly becoming rare in India.
