Among the Bengali directors, who are all set to work in Mumbai, Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy are the most prominent ones. The duo will remake their superhit Bengali film ‘Bela Shese’ in Hindi which was released on 1 May 2015 in West Bengal and on 26 June 2015 in other states of India.
Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy’s Praktan not only ran at the theaters for 100 days but it also become the highest grossing Bengali film this year which collection of Rs 8 Crore in less than 7 weeks.
Their most recent hit “Praktan” featuring the golden couple of the Bengali film industry, Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta, is also to be made in Hindi, however, the director-duo won’t be directing the Bollywood version. According to Mukherjee, due to their next venture that they are working on, they won’t be able to direct ‘Praktan’ in Hindi.
