300-year-old mummies undergo virtual autopsy in California… And What They Discovered… OMG!

Almost 300 years after a mother and son died, their mummified remains undergo a ‘virtual autopsy’ at a medical research center in California to determine their cause of death.The study is intended to resolve more undiscovered things about the illness.

They both were said to be died of Tuberculosis 300 years ago.  Doctors are hoping to resolve the secrets of the mother and the son’s death through the first ever virtual autopsy. The results of the CT scan will be released at the Bowers Museum on the “Mummies of the World” exhibition. Via: CBS News
