Molten salt Into An AQUARIUM — WHAT Happened NEXT!

TheBackyardScientist does every week, AND use every day — fish tanks, aluminum, watermelons — the YouTuber finds new ways, using science to play with these seemingly normal items.

Recently, he took Molten salt is salt which is solid at standard temperature and pressure (STP) but enters the liquid phase due to elevated temperature and WHEN dumped it into an aquarium filled with water.

The moment the salt was completely submerged it no longer let steam rise off the top and it was enveloped in water and had to push all the water away to release itself! Apparently, salt melts at around 1400°F…and when you put salt that hot in water? It explodes!
