A fierce forest fire in North China’s Hebei Province was put out on Monday morning after raging for two days. More than 2,000 local people and firefighters have battled to control the blaze since its break-out. Due to strong winds and steep slopes in the area, the fire also spread to a nearby scenic spot in Changli County, Qinhuangdao City.
Firefighters said that although the fire was under control, they would remain in the area for the next 48 hours to monitor the situation. The cause of blaze is still under investigation and no casualties have been reported. VIA – CCTV News
