Europe’s Oldest Forest Is Białowieża – Let Nature Take Its Course

Białowieża Forest is one of the last and largest remaining parts of the immense primeval forest that once stretched across the European Plain, is the kind of place you imagine from the Grimm fairy tales. The forest is home to 800 European bison, Europe’s heaviest land animal, woodpeckers and other birds call all around you and the guides who work there know the intimate history, and names, of many individual trees.

Bialowieza Forest is the last significant untouched primeval forest in all of Europe.
