JAISALMER: A man from a village in India, learned this lesson the hard way, a camel attacked its owner and severed his head in anger in Rajasthan’s Barmer district on Saturday. About 25 villagers struggled for 6 hours to calm the animal down.
Villagers also revealed that the same camel had attacked the owner in the past and 25 of them struggled for six hours to restrain the animal.
The camel, who was tied outside its owner’s house in the heat all day, On Saturday night when he suddenly realised that his camel had been out in the heat all day with its legs tied. But when he went to untie the animal and take it to a cooler area, the camel became aggressive and started attacking him.
Temperatures in Rajasthan are seeing some of the highest temperatures ever recorded in India with the mercury reaching 51 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature in Barmer on Saturday, when the camel remained outside in the heat with its legs tied, was about 43 degrees celsius.
According to a report in The Times of India, ‘The animal lifted him by the neck and threw him on to the ground, chewed the body and severed the head.’ A villager told TOI that the camel chewed the owner’s body and severed his head in the process.
