62 Dead After FlyDubai Plane Crashes in Russia Due to Bad Weather: Reports

A commercial airliner flying from Dubai flight FZ981 has crashed in the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don killing all 59 passengers and crew on board. The flight was en route from Dubai and crashed during a landing approach, multiple reports confirm.


Air-traffic control and local emergency services confirmed that the Boeing 737-800 jet crashed near the runway during a second approach in conditions of poor visibility.

A statement from Russia’s Emergencies Ministry, obtained by the Associated Press, said that the plane went down on Saturday morning and all 61 people on board had died, including 55 passengers and six crew members, according to CNN.
